Who we are
RideZeit is a small limited liability company that makes a smart watch resident app that displays bike ride parameters in a stylish, watch-like format.
Information used on mobile
The following information is used a mobile device so that core features work properly. RideZeit does not save any of this information off the device or directly retain the information. RideZeit also does not collect any personal data and an account is not needed in order to use it.
Location Data
RideZeit needs permission to collect location data (GPS) on device. This data is gathered during a ride and used to accurately calculate your speed and distance. RideZeit does not collect location data while a ride is not active. This permission can be changed at any time on the device.
Health Data
RideZeit needs permission to write health data to the appropriate first-party health apps on device. The data saved is the speed and distance data of a completed ride. This permission can be changed at any time on the device, and the data can be deleted directly from the device.
Contact form and spam detection
We use Formidable Forms for our contact form. We have disabled IP address tracking on this form. Visitor comments in the contact form are checked through an automated spam detection service called Akismet. When submitting the contact form, the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string are discarded as soon as a user is verified as not being a spammer or a webbot.
Cookies
Registration and login are not required to browse our website, therefore no login cookie is set. Registration and login are not required to submit a contact form, therefore no user cookie is set. See the Google Analytics section below concerning its use of cookies.
Embedded content from other websites and external links
This website does not include embedded content via iframes from other websites (e.g. third party videos, images, articles, etc.). This site has external links to other commerce websites which may track referral (incoming) clicks. The privacy practices of these third parties are governed by the parties’ own privacy statements or policies. We are not responsible for the security or privacy of any information collected by these third parties, using inbound tracking or other means.
Google Analytics
We use Google, a third-party analytics provider, to collect information about visitors to our website. Google uses cookies in order to collect general demographic, device and browser information. All analytics data is anonymized. How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment via our contact form, the contact info and comment are forwarded via email to the website owner and also stored in a WordPress contact form database.
Website security logs
The IP addresses of “bad behavior” visitors to our website are conditionally logged to check for malicious activity and to protect the site from specific kinds of attacks. Examples of conditions when logging occurs include login attempts, log out requests, requests for suspicious or nonexistent URLs, attempted malware injections, and password updates. This information is retained for 45 days. Our current security plugin is called Wordfence Security.
